Data Centre New Build, Norway
Our client is a rapidly growing and ambitious main contractor, known for delivering data centre projects across Europe. They are now seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the full delivery of a data centre project in Norway.

This is a flagship appointment within the organisation, as it continues to strengthen its position in the European mission-critical sector. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for leading the project team from mobilisation through to completion, managing all aspects of delivery across commercial, technical, programme, and client engagement functions.

The Project Director will act as the overall project lead, directing multidisciplinary teams, overseeing subcontractor performance, and ensuring the successful execution of a technically complex and time-sensitive data centre build. With accountability for safety, quality, cost, and client satisfaction, they will bring strategic oversight and operational excellence to the entire programme.

Key Responsibilities
•    Provide full leadership across all phases of the project lifecycle, from preconstruction through commissioning and handover
•    Manage cross-functional teams including construction, commercial, MEP, planning, safety, and quality personnel
•    Drive project performance in line with agreed programme milestones, budget targets, and technical specifications
•    Build and maintain a collaborative relationship with the client and their representatives
•    Oversee risk management, reporting, contract compliance, and resource planning
•    Lead project reporting and progress updates to senior internal stakeholders and client leadership
•    Foster a high-performance culture on-site with a clear focus on safety, quality, and innovation
•    Act as the figurehead of the project, representing the contractor’s values, expertise, and delivery capability

Candidate Profile
•    Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager on large-scale data centres or similarly complex industrial builds (e.g. pharmaceutical, semiconductor, manufacturing)
•    Strong understanding of mission-critical infrastructure and high-performance MEP systems
•    Background working for a main contractor, with a strong track record of project delivery across Europe or internationally
•    Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
•    Experienced in managing large teams, multiple workstreams, and diverse supply chains
•    Commercially astute, technically competent, and delivery-focused
